Hit and Pay

Two weeks back, while we were back from Cosmos mall, the car which was taking reverse in front of our car, hit the car inspite of horn to indicate that I am standing back. After he turned, he stopped for me to come. He came and saw the dent in the car and immediatley said “I am Extremely sorry. Due to the rain, I was not able to see the car behind my car. Whatever it takes to rectify this, I will bear the cost” and gave me his Mobile number, residence number and Office Number. When people dont even bother to stop after hitting, this man was completely different.

I went to the Hyundai service centre and they said the damange would cost around Rs. 4000/. I then called up that guy and he said “Thats perfectly fine. I will pay you”. I was calling him for couple of times and the response was not favourable . I thought this is also similar to other cases. Then one evening, I get a call from his office manager saying he has been asked to give Rs. 4000 to me for the small accident and that the office boy would hand over the money in my house.

The next day evening, I got the money for rectifying the damage. There are also people like this who pay for their mistake when they had a chance to run away. Really an excellent experience.
