Free Pizza

by yagyaraman

Very rarely me and Madhu have had Pizza. Last Sunday, we decided to order Pizza and placed the order. It is 39 minutes or Free for delivery. The Pizza Corner is in Cosmos Mall, around 1.5 kms from Home. It took 50 minutes for the order to be delivered. While I called up the Customer care to check the status they said, the delivery boy has already left. By that time itself, it was past their committed time. I asked what should I do, they said you can take it COMPLIMENTARY as it did not come within their time.

5 minutes later, the delivery boy rang the bell. When I said, I have been informed that it would be Complimentary, immediately he said there was an Accident and it got late because of that. Then he dialled to the Manager and he said since it was Sunday, there were more orders. Contradicting statements from two different people explaining the reasons. Finally when I said Customer care said it would be FREE, they both agreed.

There was a line in the paper that was given, which read “We do not penalize the Delivery boys for the delay”. I was happy if that is the case.

For the first time, got free Pizza from Pizza Corner for late delivery!!!

A happy news is that it was repeated again another day. I think next time they won’t take our order.
